As a violin maker, Robert Gee has enjoyed many hours of passion in building instruments. The excitement comes in stringing the instrument for the first time and hearing those first few notes. When you pick up one of these violins and make it sing, I become very excited to see my work of art being put to the test. Many of my violins have an excellent mellow tone that is much more captivating to the beginner or middle-advanced player because the sweetness in an instrument is hard to achieve unless you have the ability to draw it out. Having chosen specific pieces of wood from woods cut for the production of my instruments, The price range varies from $600.00 on some of my earlier instruments to $2800. for more recent fine sounding instruments. I have also built several 5 string instruments featuring the viola C string and also several left handed fiddles. All have unique and individual qualities and are a pleasure to play presenting rich warm mellow tones. Several of these instruments were built with an enclosed electronic pickup for use with an amplifier. Find on the succeeding pages some of the instruments I have built. As a service to my buyers, I will allow a 30 day on approval trial of any instrument. As all of these instruments are new and have not been played in, they begin to develop the finer tones with playing.
